28 areas to have 'danger level' heat index on June 17
Twenty-eight areas in the country may feel a heat index in the "danger" category on Monday, June 17, according to weather bureau PAGASA.
Below are the areas that may have a heat index ranging from 42ºC to 48ºC, classified as under the "danger" category:

Science Garden Quezon City meanwhile will have a heat index of 40°C, the weather bureau said.
The heat index is the measure of the temperature that a person feels in contrast to the actual air temperature. It is computed by factoring in the humidity as well as the air temperature.
PAGASA classifies as danger level the heat index of 42°C to 51°C.
Heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely, and heat stroke is probable with continued exposure in areas under the danger level of heat index.
PAGASA advised the public to:
- Limit the time spent outdoors.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid tea, coffee, soda and liquor.
- Wear umbrellas, hats, and sleeved clothing outdoors.
- Schedule heavy-duty activities for the beginning or end of the day, when it's cooler.
