Parts of Metro Manila, 7 provinces experience heavy rains Tuesday

Parts of Metro Manila and seven provinces experienced moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Tuesday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 2:30 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are:

• Zambales,
• Metro Manila (Quezon City, Marikina),
• Rizal (San Mateo, Antipolo, Rodriguez),
• Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Ildefonso, Norzagaray, San Rafael),
• Tarlac (San Clemente, Mayantoc, San Jose, Capas, Bamban),
• Batangas (Santo Tomas, Tanauan, Lipa, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, San Jose, Balete, Cuenca, Ibaan, Batangas City),
• Laguna (Bay, Calauan, Alaminos, San Pablo), and
• Quezon (Lucban, Macalelon, General Luna).

It said the weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Bataan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Cavite are expected to experience heavy rains within the next two to three hours.

The affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
