Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 5 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and five provinces are set to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds in the next two to three hours.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 5:40 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas are:

• Laguna,
• Tarlac,
• Pampanga,
• Nueva Ecija, and
• Bulacan.

It added moderate to heavy rains are being experienced and may persist within two hours in:  

• Batangas (Nasugbu),
• Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon, Magallanes, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Alfonso),
• Bataan (Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Balanga, Pilar),
• Zambales (Subic, Olongapo),
• Quezon (Buenavista, San Narciso, Mulanay, Catanauan, Macalelon, General Luna, Lopez). and
• Rizal (Binangonan, Cardona).

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
