ITCZ affects most parts of PH

Most parts of the Philippines may experience cloudy skies and thunderstorms because of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau PAGASA said on Wednesday afternoon.

In its 24-hour weather forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may occur over Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Soccsksargen, Quezon, Batangas, and Davao Occidental due to the ITCZ.

The weather system may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are possible in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said light to moderate winds along with slight to moderate coastal waters are expected for the entire country.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:33 a.m. on Thursday. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
