Habagat to bring scattered rain over Visayas areas, Mindanao


The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) would bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Occidental  Mindoro, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Mindanao, according to PAGASA's Sunday afternoon forecast.

Metro Manila, the rest of MIMAROPA,  Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna would see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also due to the Southwest  Monsoon.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms may cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over  the rest of the country.

The public was warned against possible flash floods and landslides due to these weather conditions.

PAGASA also said the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao would experience moderate to strong winds while the rest of the country would have light to moderate winds.

PAGASA weather specialist  Veronica Torres said there were no gale warnings but the western section of the country may experience moderate to rough seas.
