Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 7 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and seven provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Tuesday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:39 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas within  the next two to three hours are:

• Cavite,
• Rizal,
• Zambales,
• Bataan,
• Bulacan,
• Batangas and
• Pampanga.

It said moderate to heavy rains are being experienced in Santa Cruz, Lumban, Kalayaan, Pagsanjan, Cavinti, Magdalena, and Luisiana in Laguna; Rizal, Bongabon, Pantabangan, San Jose, Llanera, Cuyapo, and Nampicuan in Nueva Ecija ; San Manuel and Moncada in Tarlac;  and Perez in Quezon.

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
