Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 8 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and eight provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 11:37 a.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas within the next two to three hours are:

• Bataan,
• Nueva Ecija,
• Pampanga,
• Cavite,
• Laguna,
• Batangas,
• Rizal, and
• Bulacan.

Meanwhile, Alabat and Quezon in Quezon; Concepcion and Bamban in Tarlac; and San Antonio in Zambales are now experiencing moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds.

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
