Habagat to bring rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will continue to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas, PAGASA said in its daily weather forecast on Thursday afternoon.

The state weather bureau said the Habagat is expected to bring occasional rains in Palawan. It may also cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and the Visayas.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters may be felt throughout the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:44 a.m. on Friday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
