Heavy rains expected over Metro Manila, 5 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and five provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday evening.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 4:33 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas within the next three hours are:

• Tarlac,
• Metro Manila,
• Laguna,
• Quezon,
• Bataan and
• Rizal (Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jala-Jala, Morong, Pililla, Teresa).

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in:

• Cavite (General Trias, Trece Martires, Naic, Indang, Tanza, Dasmarinas, Tagaytay, Mendez, Amadeo),
• Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, Gapan, General Mamerto Natividad, Rizal, Palayan, San Jose, Lupao, Munoz), Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad),
• Pampanga (Porac, Angeles, Mabalacat),
• Zambales (Botolan, Candelaria, Masinloc), and
• Batangas (Lipa, Mataasnakahoy, Balete, Malvar),

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.
