2 weather systems to bring rains over Northern Luzon

The shear line will continue to bring rains over the eastern section of Northern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will keep affecting the extreme Northern Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Thursday afternoon.

Batanes will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan.

Meanwhile, the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Residents of affected areas were warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA also said winds will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:08 a.m. on Friday.  — Mariel Celine Serquiña/VBL, GMA Integrated News
