Rains expected in Mindanao due to ITCZ
Mindanao will experience cloudy skies and rains because of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its weather forecast on Saturday afternoon.
Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the rest of Mindanao will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), while localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, strong to gale winds with rough to very rough coastal waters may occur over the Extreme Northern Luzon.
Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, and the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
