LPA, shear line, amihan to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH
Three weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of the country on Friday, PAGASA reported.
At 3 a.m., the Low Pressure Area (LPA) (formerly Querubin) was estimated over the coastal waters of Mahinog, Camiguin with the Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon and Northeast Monsoon (amihan) affecting the rest of Luzon.
Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan wil have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.
Bicol Region, Quezon, and the rest of MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Shear Line with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoonwith the possibility that flash floods or landslides will due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzonwill have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.
The northern and western sections of Northern Luzon will experience strong winds moving northeastward while coastal waters will be rough.
Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds moving in the east to northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
