Scattered rain expected across Luzon, Mimaropa -PAGASA

Cloudy skies and scattered rain are forecast across Luzon and the Mimaropa Region, according to PAGASA’s Friday afternoon weather update.

The Bicol Region, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro are expected to experience cloudy conditions with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the influence of a shear line.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with light rain to the Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

For the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected due to the Easterlies.

PAGASA has cautioned residents in affected areas about the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to the prevailing weather conditions.

Moderate to strong winds will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, resulting in moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila is expected at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
