Northeast Monsoon, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, rains

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the easterlies continue to affect the country on Monday and will bring cloudy skies and rains over several areas, according to PAGASA.

Batanes will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Amihan, but no significant impact is expected.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon. No significant impact is expected.

Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Moderate to at times heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides.

Eastern Visayas meanwhile will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to a shear line. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country on the other hand may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern and Central Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:53 p.m. —KG, GMA Integrated News
