Cloudy skies, rains expected over parts of PH
The shear line will bring rains over Palawan and Visayas while the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
In its weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Visayas, Palawan, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be observed throughout the rest of Mindanao due to the easterlies.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with rains will persist over Batanes and Cagayan due to the Amihan.
These moderate to at times heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides.
The Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
State meteorologists said winds will be strong to gale while coastal waters will be rough to very rough in Northern Luzon.
Meanwhile, Central Luzon will see moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
The sun will rise at 6:25 a.m. on Tuesday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
