Rains to prevail over S. Luzon, Visayas due to shear line—PAGASA
The shearline will continue to affect Southern Luzon and Visayas while the Northeast Monsoon or amihan will bring rains over the rest of Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
In its weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, and Aurora will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
These moderate to heavy with at times intense rains may cause flash floods or landslides.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be observed over Mindanao due to the easterlies.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cavite, Batangas, and the rest of Central Luzon will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the amihan.
These conditions may result in moderate to at times heavy rains that could trigger flash floods or landslides.
The amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains throughout the rest of Luzon.
State meteorologists also said winds will be strong to gale while coastal waters will be rough to very rough over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas will see moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Mindanao.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:22 a.m. on Tuesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/LDF, GMA Integrated News
