PAGASA sees rainy weekend across PH

Multiple weather systems will continue to bring cloudy skies and rains in parts of the country.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Friday afternoon, cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms may be felt over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the shear line.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

The easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur in several areas of the country due to the said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters may be felt over Northern Luzon, while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

As of 2 p.m., the low pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said.
