Shear line, Amihan affecting Luzon, ITCZ to bring rains over Mindanao
A shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are affecting Luzon on Monday while an Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring rains over Mindanao, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
Isabela and Aurora may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. Residents should be alert for possible flash floods or landslides as rains may be moderate to at times heavy.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
