Easterlies to bring rains over eastern parts of PH

Rain is expected over several parts of the country due to the easterlies in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its latest weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said these areas are Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the Davao Region.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

The easterlies will also bring cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.

State meteorologists also said the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will see moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Meanwhile, winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:12 a.m. on Monday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
