Heat index: No areas in ‘danger level’ category on March 10, 2025 —PAGASA
No areas in the country are expected to reach the “danger level” of the heat index on Monday, PAGASA said in a forecast.
The state weather bureau considers a heat index between 42°C and 51°C in the “danger” category, posing health risks such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

Based on its 5 p.m. March 9 bulletin, the state weather bureau said the highest temperature in the country will be 41°C on Monday.
San Jose, Occidental Mindoro and Cuyo, Palawan are seen to experience a 41°C temperature.
Meanwhile, in Metro Manila, a 36°C temperature is expected to hit NAIA Pasay City while Science Garden, Quezon City would reach a 34°C temperature.
A heat index from 33°C to 41°C is under the “extreme caution” category, where heat cramps and heat exhaustion are possible, and continuing activity could lead to heat stroke.
On Sunday, a “danger level” heat index was felt in Dagupan City, Pangasinan with a 44°C temperature and Virac (Synop), Catanduanes with a 43°C temperature.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology earlier implemented measures to protect persons deprived of liberty from the high temperatures, which include placing jail health personnel on heightened alert, improving ventilation and addressing jail congestion. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
