ITCZ to bring scattered rains, thunderstorms over southern Mindanao

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over southern Mindanao on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Davao Region, Surigao del Sur, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
