‘Danger level’ heat index expected in 25 areas on Wednesday, April 23, 2025
At least 25 areas will experience “danger level” heat index on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, PAGASA said in a forecast.
According to the state weather bureau’s 5 p.m. April 16 bulletin, the synoptic stations in the following areas will measure a 42°C-45°C heat index:

The state weather bureau categorizes areas with a 42°C to 51°C heat index in the "danger" category, with a risk for heat stroke.
The Department of Health (DOH) said that heat-related illnesses become more prevalent with extreme temperatures, such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
The public is thus advised to drink lots of water, and stay in a place that has a shade or is cooler.
People should also limit their outdoor activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; use protection against sunburn such as hats, umbrellas, and sunblock; and wear loose and lightweight clothing. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
