‘Danger level’ heat index forecast in 13 areas on Monday, April 28, 2025

A “danger level” heat index is forecast for 13 areas on Monday, April 28, PAGASA said Sunday.

According to the state weather bureau’s 5 p.m. April 27 bulletin, the synoptic stations in the following areas could measure a 42°C-44°C heat index:

• 44°C:
  • Sangley Point, Cavite City
• 43°C:
  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
• 42°C:
  • Dagupan City, Pangasinan
  • Aparri, Cagayan
  • Coron, Palawan
  • Cuyo, Palawan
  • Masbate City
  • Roxas City, Capiz
  • Iloilo City
  • Dumangas City, Capiz
  • La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental
  • Siquijor
  • Guiuan, Eastern Samar

The state weather bureau categorizes areas with a 42°C to 51°C heat index in the "danger" category, with a risk for heat stroke.
