PAGASA: 16 areas to have danger-level heat index on Thursday, May 8, 2025

Sixteen areas in the country will experience danger-level heat index on Thursday, PAGASA has said.
The following areas are set to experience hot temperatures falling under the “danger” category:

- Dagupan City, Pangasinan
- Sangley Point, Cavite City, Cavite
43°C
- NAIA, Pasay City
- Sinait, Ilocos Sur
- Laoag City, Ilocos Norte
- ISU in Echague, Isabela
- Iba, Zambales
- TAU in Camiling, Tarlac
- Masbate City, Masbate
- Catarman, Northern Samar
42°C
- Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas
- NAS-UPLB, Los Banos, Laguna
- Coron, Palawan
- Cuyo, Palawan
- Daet, Camarines Norte
- Roxas City, Capiz
Meanwhile, the lowest temperature of 25°C will be felt in Baguio City, Benguet.
PAGASA categorizes areas with a 42°C to 51°C heat index as dangerous, while areas with 52°C and above are considered extreme danger.
Heat stroke is imminent in areas under extreme danger, while heat cramps, exhaustion, and heat stroke are probably risks under the danger level.
PAGASA advises the public to limit outdoor activity, remain hydrated, and wear fresh clothes to avoid heat-related illnesses. –NB, GMA Integrated News
