Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of PH due to LPA, ITCZ, easterlies
The Low Pressure Area (LPA), the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and the easterlies will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over the country on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.
At 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated at 295 kilometers South Southeast of Kalayaan, Palawan (Pag-asa Island) and embedded along the ITCZ that is affecting Mindanao and Palawan while the easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country.
Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Mindanao, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
The wind speed forecast for the whole country is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
