Mindanao, Palawan face more rain due to ITCZ, easterlies

Two weather systems are expected to bring more rain over parts of the country on Thursday.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will mean cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao and Palawan.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Possible flash floods or landslides may be felt in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the whole country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperatures in the Philippines will range from a minimum of 27.6°C to a maximum of 34.9°C over the next 24 hours.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:27 a.m. on Thursday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
