ITCZ to bring scattered rains over Visayas, 8 other areas

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan on Sunday and will bring scattered rains over certain areas, according to PAGASA's weather forecast.

Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Mimaropa, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao meanwhile may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

The rest of Luzon on the other hand will be affected by the easterlies.

These areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
