State weather bureau PAGASA said it is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but which is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

The trough of the LPA  will bring rains to other western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, while the frontal system will affect extreme Northern Luzon, PAGASA added in ts 4 a.m. bulletin.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the frontal system.

Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of LPA.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
