LPA unlikely to develop into cyclone; isolated rains to prevail across PH
The low pressure area (LPA) monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is still being monitored even as weather bureau PAGASA said it is "unlikely" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Isolated rains, however, will prevail in parts of the country due to the trough of the LPA and the easterlies, according to PAGASA's 4 a.m. bulletin.
Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the trough of LPA.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
