Cloudy skies, rains expected on Independence Day 2025
The Philippines will experience cloudy and rainy skies on Independence Day 2025.
According to PAGASA’s special weather outlook for June 12, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is set to bring occasional rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro, while the rest of Luzon and the western section of Visayas will see mostly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with the possibility of localized rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong southwesterly to southerly winds with moderate to rough seas may be felt over Luzon and the western section of Visayas.
Gusty conditions may be observed over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Isabela, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, Antique, and Aklan, while light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas are forecast for the rest of the country.
The tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will not affect any part of the country as it is expected to move north northwestward. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
