Wet weather with localized thunderstorms in NCR, ITCZ rains in parts of VisMin

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is expected to continue bringing scattered rains to northern Mindanao and eastern Visayas while localized thunderstorms could bring rainshowers to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

According to the daily weather forecast of state weather bureau PAGASA released Sunday afternoon, the ITCZ is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Oriental.

Localized thunderstorms are projected to bring partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country, while easterlies could bring the same conditions to the Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

These could bring possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said in its advisory. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA Integrated News
