Metro Manila, 6 Luzon provinces experience intense to torrential rains
Metro Manila and six provinces in Luzon experienced intense to torrential rains Monday afternoon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 2:17 p.m., PAGASA said the affected areas are:
- Metro Manila (Quezon City, Caloocan, Muntinlupa),
- Rizal (Rodriguez),
- Bulacan (San Jose del Monte, Norzagaray, San Ildefonso),
- Laguna (Binan, San Pedro, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, Los Banos, Bay, Calauan, Victoria, Pila, Lumban, Pagsanjan, Santa Cruz),
- Quezon (Mauban, Tagkawayan, Perez),
- Zambales (San Marcelino, Subic, San Narciso, San Antonio, Castillejos, San Felipe, Cabangan) and
- Cavite(Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez)
It said the weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Bataan, Batangas, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Tarlac within the next two hours.
PAGASA advised affected residents to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
