LPA, Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) and Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of the country on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.

At 3 a.m., the weather bureau reported that the LPA was estimated at 210 kilometers west southwest of Cubi Point, Subic Bay International Airport or 290 km west of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas.

The Southwest Monsoon, meanwhile, will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA and flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the western section of Southern Luzon is light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving in the southwest to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
