PAGASA monitoring tropical depression outside PAR

State weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday it is monitoring a tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The cyclone was spotted 555 kilometers (km) west of Bacnotan, La Union with a maximum sustained winds of 45 km per hour and gustiness of up to 55 km/h.
Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon will affect the western section of Southern Luzon, bringing rains.
Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
