Heavy rains affect parts of Metro Manila, expected in 7 Luzon areas

Parts of Metro Manila experienced moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday morning.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 10:20 a.m., June 26, state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are:

• Mandaluyong, 
• San Juan, 
• Quezon City, 
• Manila, 
• Pasig, 
• Makati, 
• Taguig, 
• Pasay.

It said the weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Meanwhile, the provinces of Quezon, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, and Bataan may experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds within the next two hours. 

PAGASA advised affected residents to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
