5 Luzon areas experience moderate to heavy rains

Five provinces in Luzon experienced moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 12:37 p.m., June 26, state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are: 

• Zambales (Masinloc, Candelaria, Santa Cruz, Botolan, San Marcelino, Subic, Castillejos, Cabangan, San Felipe); 
• Tarlac (Mayantoc, San Clemente, San Jose);
• Pampanga (Porac, Floridablanca);
• Quezon (Buenavista, Guinayangan, Lopez, Catanauan, Mulanay, San Narciso); and Bataan (Dinalupihan).

The weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are also expected over Nueva Ecija, Metro Manila, Cavite, and Batangas within the next two hours.

Affected residents are advised to prepare against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
