PAGASA monitors LPA with medium chance of becoming TD in Luzon

State weather bureau, PAGASA, is monitoring a Low Pressure Area (LPA) in Luzon, according to their daily weather forecast posted on Tuesday afternoon.

As of 3 p.m., the LPA was last seen at 430 kilometers East Northeast of Infanta, Quezon or 350 kilometers East of Casiguran, Aurora.

PAGASA said the LPA (6h) had a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within 24 hours.

It is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley.

Another LPA (7a), which is also being observed is at 2,275 kilometers East of Borongan, Batanes and has a high potential to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Earlier, PAGASA reported that 2 to 3 tropical cyclones may be expected within the PAR for the month of July.

The Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Western Visayas and bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms over Mindanao and the rest of Visayas.

The rest of Luzon may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas due to said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, moderate winds with moderate coastal waters may be felt over the western sections of Central, Southern Luzon, and Northern Luzon, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
