Moderate to heavy rains expected over Metro Manila, 5 Luzon areas

Metro Manila and five Luzon areas are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 12:10 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are:

• Metro Manila,
• Bataan, 
• Bulacan,  
• Quezon, 
• Rizal, and 
• Cavite.

Meanwhile, the following areas are currently experiencing moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds:

• Zambales (Botolan, San Marcelino, Cabangan, San Felipe, San Narciso), 
• Nueva Ecija (Bongabon, Rizal), 
• Tarlac (Bamban), and 
• Pampanga (Porac).

The weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised affected residents to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
