Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 5 Luzon areas

Metro Manila and five areas in Luzon will experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Monday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 11:19 a.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the following areas will be affected by bad weather within the next two hours: 

• Metro Manila,
• Pampanga,
• Nueva Ecija,
• Bulacan,
• Rizal, and
• Cavite.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in: 

• Zambales (Iba, Botolan, San Marcelino, Castillejos, Subic),
• Bataan (Abucay, Balanga, Pilar, Limay, Morong, Bagac), and
• Tarlac (Camiling, Mayantoc, Santa Ignacia, San Jose, Capas, Tarlac City, Concepcion, Bamban, La Paz).

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised affected residents to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
