PAGASA: Scattered rains over Metro Manila, Luzon areas due to Habagat


The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to affect Metro Manila and the rest of the country, bringing occasional rains, PAGASA said on Wednesday.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the weather bureau said ckoudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and Rizal due to habagat.

The same weather system will bring occasional rains in the Ilocos region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, and Benguet.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms as a result of the Southwest Monsoon.

PAGASA said that as of 2 a.m. Wednesday, no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
