Southwest monsoon, LPA to trigger rains across PH
The Southwest Monsoon or habagat and a low pressure area (LPA) will affect several areas of the country, bringing cloudy skies and rainshowers, PAGASA said in its weather bulletin on Thursday.
At 3 a.m., it said the LPA was estimated at 380 kilometers northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte or 390 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora.
Due to the LPA, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Northern Samar will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the LPA.
The rest of Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, BARMM, and Palawan will likely see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.
The same weather conditions will give the rest of Mindanao partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
