Tropical Depression Fabian about to exit PAR — PAGASA
Tropical Depression Fabian continues to move west northwestward and is about to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday evening, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
As of 4 p.m., the center of Fabian was estimated at 245 kilometers west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
It is moving west northwestward at a speed of 15 kph, PAGASA said.
“Fabian is forecast to move generally west northwestward for the entire forecast period and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight,” said PAGASA. “Fabian is forecast to weaken into a remnant low as it exits the PAR.”
Fabian developed into a tropical depression around 8 a.m. Friday.
Despite the forecast, PAGASA advised the public to still take all necessary precautions. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
