Fabian moves slowly ahead of PAR exit

Fabian moves slowly ahead of PAR exit

Tropical Depression Fabian moves slowly as it is about to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility, PAGASA said in its 11 p.m. Friday bulletin.

Traveling westward slowly, Fabian has maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h and gustiness of up to 55 km/h.

"Fabian is forecast to move generally west northwestward until it exits the PAR tonight or tomorrow early morning. Fabian is forecast to weaken into a remnant low tomorrow morning,'' PAGASA said.

Fabian will bring moderate seas (1.0-1.5 m) over the coastal waters of Northern Luzon.

''Mariners of motor bancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels,'' PAGASA said.

PAGASA is also monitoring Tropical Storm Podul, which may enter the PAR between late Sunday evening and early Monday morning. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
