Habagat enhanced by Lannie to bring strong, gale-force gusts over Luzon
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), slightly enhanced by Tropical Depression Lannie, is expected to bring strong to gale-force gusts in some parts of Luzon, PAGASA said Saturday.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the strong to gale-force gusts will be over Ilocos Region, Cagayan, and Isabela.
No Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal was issued.
Lannie exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning.
"Tropical Depression LANNIE is forecast to move generally northwestward heading toward southern China. While moving over the West Philippine Sea, LANNIE will intensify into tropical storm tonight (Saturday) or tomorrow (07 September) early morning," PAGASA said in its track and intensity outlook.
The center of Tropical Depression Lannie was estimated based on all available data at 400 km west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur (OUTSIDE PAR) (17.9 °N, 116.7 °E ).
Moving west northwestward, it has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. —KG, GMA Integrated News
