Easterlies to bring more rains in PH
The easterlies will continue to bring rains in several areas in the country, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
Based on its 4 p.m. weather forecast, these areas are the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Quezon, Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, and the rest of CALABARZON, the rest of Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger landslides and flash floods.
The state weather bureau is still monitoring Tropical Cyclone Tapah, formerly Lannie, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
At 3 p.m., Tapah was observed 1095 mm west northwest of extreme Northern Luzon, moving north northwestward at 30 km/h.
It has maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h.
Lannie exited PAR on Saturday.
State meteorologists also said winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
