PAGASA issues heavy rainfall advisory in Bicol due to LPA

PAGASA on Saturday morning issued a heavy rainfall advisory for the Bicol region due to the  Low Pressure Area.

The state weather bureau said an expected 50-100 mm of rainfall is expected in Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar on Saturday.

For Sunday, 50-100 mm of rain is in the forecast for the provinces of Quezon and Camarines Norte

The forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas, PAGASA said.

“Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall.” it added.

PAGASA advised concerned public disaster risk reduction and management offices to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. 

The next weather advisory will be issued at 11:00 a.m. today. — RF, GMA Integrated News
