LPA spotted over Northern Samar to bring cloudy skies, rains

PAGASA continues to monitor the low pressure area that will bring rainy weather over several parts of the country.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, the LPA was seen over the coastal waters of Mapanas, Northern Samar.

It may cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Visayas, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Zamboanga del Norte.

The trough of the LPA may also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

The rest of Luzon will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies.

Flash floods or landslides may occur due to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate winds with moderate waters may be expected over the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon.

Light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas may prevail over the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
