LPA, easterlies to bring more rains over PH
Cloudy skies and rains will further persist in several areas across the country due to the low pressure area (LPA) and the easterlies, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
At 3 p.m., the LPA was monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 475 kilometers west of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, and remains “unlikely” to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will affect the weather conditions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region, and Cordillera Administrative Region.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods and landslides.
State meteorologists also said the extreme northern Luzon will see moderate wind and coastal water conditions.
Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
