LPA outside PAR now a tropical depression
The low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression on Wednesday morning, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
“LPA 09e being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression,” PAGASA said in.
The tropical depression was last located 1,330 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km per hour and gustiness of 55 kph.
It was moving west northwestward at 10 kph.
Aside from this, PAGASA is also monitoring Tropical Depression Mirasol, which was last spotted in the vicinity of Santiago, Isabela.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 has been raised in over 14 areas due to Tropical Depression Mirasol:
- Batanes
- Cagayan including Babuyan Islands
- Isabela
- Quirino
- The northern and central portions of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Baler, Maria Aurora, San Luis)
- Apayao
- Abra
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Ifugao
- The northern and eastern portion of Benguet (Bakun, Mankayan, Kabayan, Buguias, Kibungan, Atok, Bokod)
- Nueva Vizcaya
- Ilocos Norte
- Ilocos Sur
