LPA east of Catanduanes now tropical depression Paolo
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Catanduanes has developed into tropical depression Paolo, state weather bureau PAGASA announced Wednesday.
In a Facebook post, PAGASA said the development took place at 8 a.m.
PAGASA said that tropical cyclone bulletins will be issued starting at 11 a.m.
In its 24-hour public weather forecast issued earlier, PAGASA said that cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Aurora, and Quezon due to the Easterlies.
The bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the Easterlies may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
